Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval teams up with Kurt Vile for new single
Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval and My Bloody Valentine's Colm Ó Cíosóig have joined up with Kurt Vile for new seven-minute single "Let Me Get There".
The track is a taste of Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions' newly announced record Until The Hunter, the follow up to Sandoval and Cíosóig's 2009 LP Through The Devil Softly. Already-shared tune "Isn't It True" is set to appear on the record as well.
Vile says of the cosy collab: "It was a total honour to sing along to a beautifully hypnotic soul groove with heavyweights like Hope, Colm, and all the other top notch musos. To respond to Hope’s call in song of letting her get there felt right and real and gave me chills while singing, even though I knew they already got there years before I walked in the building."
Until The Hunter is out 4 November via Tendril Tales/INGrooves.
