Matthew Herbert to host London theatre production next month
Electronic musician, avant-garde type and recently-appointed creative director of the newly-revived BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Matthew Herbert has detailed a new project of his – an upcoming theatre production set to run in London.
The Hush will take place at The Shed venue of the National Theatre, directed by Ben Power with Herbert on music duties. The National Theatre website describes the event as “a unique aural adventure investigating the emotions and politics of sound with wit and theatrical imagination. Part-gig, part-play, part-installation: actors, sound designers and theatre-makers collaborate on this very special performance.”
