Matthew E White releases video for “Rock & Roll Is Cold”
Virginian throwback soul-man Matthew E White has just premiered a new video for “Rock & Roll Is Cold”, the first single from his upcoming album Fresh Blood.
The clip is appropriately Americana-soaked, featuring scenes of White traversing snowy mountains and arid deserts alike. When all his trekking leads him to a proverbial petrol station in the middle of nowhere, he jumps into the driver’s seat of a truck waiting at the pump.
"This video was about highlighting and making use of pre-existing beauty and grandeur,” said White. “The images I wanted were John Ford's America - part Badlands, part Bonnie and Clyde.”
Fresh Blood will be released on 9 March.
