Mastodon writing music for new Monsters Inc film

If you thought teaming up with Feist was a bit of a shock then strap yourself in, because Mastodon are writing music for the new Monsters Inc movie.
The heavy metal group are currently recording a track for a new prequel to the animated franchise, entitled Monsters University.
The original movie featured music by legendary soundtracker Randy Newman, who is on board for this new pic too.
Monsters University is due out 21 June 2013.
