Masked synthpop producer Blood Cultures streams debut album Happy Birthday in full
Shadowy New Jersey soundsmith Blood Cultures is streaming debut record Happy Birthday in full ahead of its release tomorrow.
The mysterious beatmaker conjures majestic pop fireballs and zaps your senses with dreamy, summery synth sounds. Touches of The Knife meet with hints of Scandi-R&Ber Sportsman on Happy Birthday, with fragile webs of emotion shot through with boisterious electronics - it's frazzled and beaming with brightness (despite the foggy nature of Blood Cultures' sound), soothing your soul with each woozy note that pulses by.
Blood Cultures piqued our interest with early releases such as "Indian Summer" and "Mercury Child", and returned last month with the divine "Moon" in tow - Happy Birthday features all these and more, collecting together what seems to be nearly four years of hard graft.
