Marnie Stern announces self-titled third album
A few members of the male fraternity at TLOBF (I’m looking at you John Brainlove) are going to have their hearts-a-fluttering all over again, as the queen of shred Marnie Stern announces her self-titled third album, due out 18 October via Souterrain Transmissions. The album is being preceeded with a free download of album opener ‘For Ash’ – which may or may not be about TLOBF scribe Ash Akhtar. Grab it below.
According to the press release “Marnie Stern the album mirrors Marnie Stern, the woman. Birthed during a challenging period in her life, the self-titled Marnie Stern is a compendium of life stories both bitter and sweet.” Judging by ‘For Ash’ we can expect more insanely complex fret wankery of the highest order coupled with Stern’s instantly recognisable vocal. We can’t wait. Tracklist below.
