MAMA Group have announced they’ve acquired 50% of shares in All Tomorrow’s Parties.
The company behind such London venues as The Garage, HMV Forum and Camden Barfly, as well as the festivals Lovebox, Great Escape and Global Gathering, have purchased a 50% shareholding in ATP to help its recently rocky financial situation.
ATP will also help in booking for MAMA festivals, and MAMA Group will in return aim to develop ATP’s festivals and events on a bigger scale.
Dean James CEO of MAMA Group said of the deal:
“Barry and Deborah run a fantastic business and it is a real honor for us to be working with them. ATP’s pioneering attitude and its success in the international market, combined with MAMA’s infrastructure of major festivals and venues is a dangerous combination.”
Barry Hogan, the ATP founder, added:
“We’re thrilled to be joining up with MAMA who have been supportive of us throughout the years. The ATP team is looking forward to working with Dean, Ivor and the rest of the MAMA staff to develop ATP events throughout the world.”
The next ATP festival to take place is the Shellac-curated Nightmare Before Christmas event on 30 November.
