Mac DeMarco drops new song 'Young Blood' for Adult Swim singles series
Following his recent appetite for covers, here’s an actual new track from Mac DeMarco.
‘Young Blood’ is the latest in Adult Swim’s 2013 Singles Program, following on from contributions by Dan Deacon, Kitty Pryde, METZ and more.
“My friend Jon Lent visited me in Montreal last summer, my apartment was very hot, so we went to Walmart and bought two fans,” DeMarco told Interview Mag of the track. “To celebrate cooling down, we ordered a pepperoni pizza and watched the movie Youngblood with Patrick Swayze and Rob Lowe. Sometime after the movie finished, we flipped on the four-track, and the song came out.”
