Lou Reed tribute concert to feature performances from TV on the Radio, Jeffrey Lewis, The Vaccines & more
This weekend (24 November), New York’s Bowery Electric will play host to a special tribute show in honour of the late, great Lou Reed.
Among those set to perform are the likes of TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone, The Vaccines’ Justin Hayward-Young, Kirin J. Callinan, Jeffrey Lewis, the Patti Smith Group’s Lenny Kaye, Ivan Julian of Richard Hell and the Voidoids, and others. The full line-up can be found here.
Known for his solo career as well as frontman for the Velvet Underground, Reed died of a liver-related illness on 27 October, aged 71 years old.
