Lou Reed has announced he’s been forced to cancelled his planned appearance at this year’s Coachella festival due to “unavoidable complications”.
The former Velvet Underground frontman had been booked for the California event set to take place next month, along with a string of dates along the West Coast of America.
Reed had been scheduled to play San Francisco, Monterey and Los Angeles as well as Coachella’s two legs, with all of these scrapped as well.
There’s been no other reasoning given for the cancellations, with no inclination whether they’ll be rescheduled either.
It’s also not been confirmed whether the singer will be replaced at Coachella.
