The Staples Center in Los Angeles has agreed to turn 100% vegetarian for one night only when it hosts a Morrissey concert next month.
The ex Smiths frontman, who has famously tried to stop fans from bringing meat products to his show in the past, has requested that all non-veggie vendors be closed on the evening of 1 March 2013.
Now, the venue has granted his command, shutting the likes of McDonalds and others.
Morrissey said of the move:
“I don’t look upon it as a victory for me, but a victory for the animals.”
The singer has previously cancelled a series of shows due to sickness, but this will be one of his first on return.
