Loop set to reform, reissue classic albums
London alt-rock outfit, Loop have announced that they’re set to reform after 22 years.
The band, who originally formed in 1986, recorded three studio albums in their short career span before parting ways in 1991. The reunion will now see the A Gilded Eternity-era (their last album) line-up back together for the first time, with frontman Robert Hampson writing on Facebook:
“I will say this… the line-up is Mr John Wills (Drums) Mr Neil Mackay (Bass) Mr Scott Dowson (Guitar) and some grey haired old fool who should know better grumbling into a mic…”
As The Quietus point out, the group have just launched a new website and look set to tour throughout 2013 and 2014.
Update: The band will headline ATP this winter and reissue 1988′s Fade Out and 1990′s A Gilded Eternity during June and August respectively.
