London venue Water Rats to reopen this weekend following ceiling collapse
London venue, The Water Rats is set to reopen on Friday following emergency repairs made after the ceiling above the stage gave way just before a band was due to soundcheck.
The incident reportedly occurred before the Israel Nash show on Sunday night (13 October), with the gig forced to move to the Slaughtered Lamb at short notice.
Despite this, however, promoters Symptomatic have told Clash Magazine that “much of the damage was merely aesthetic” with “the structure of the building remaining entirely unaffected”. The venue will reopen this weekend with a show from Lucid Jake and more.
