Listen to Jarvis Cocker's two hour David Bowie tribute

Jarvis Cocker has paid tribute to David Bowie with a two-hour show dedicated to the icon's life and music.

The tribute was part of the Pulp frontman's BBC Radio 6 Music Sunday Service show. Speaking last week following the news of Bowie's death, Cocker described him as a "lighthouse": "I think people feel it very personally, maybe more than with a lot of people who have passed away, because he was very important in how people grew up."

As well as alternate and demo versions of Bowie's tracks, Cocker also played a few archive interviews with the iconic rule breaker.

Listen to the show on the BBC website.

Bowie passed away 10 January following an 18-month battle with cancer shortly after his 69th birthday and the release of 25th studio album Blackstar.

Other tributes over the weekend include a jazzy parade through New Orleans led by Arcade Fire, and a new lightning bolt-shaped constellaton.
