Leonard Cohen took home the top prize at this weekend’s JUNO Awards, beating Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and more to ‘Artist of the Year’.
The ceremony, regarded as Canada’s Grammy Awards, also handed accolades to Grimes for ‘Electronic Album of the Year’, Metric for ‘Alternative Album of the Year’ and The Weeknd for both ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ and ‘R&B/Soul Recording of the Year’.
Of course, Cohen’s feat annoyed many ‘Beliebers’ online, bringing on dumbfounded Arcade Fire-like wrath.
