LCD Soundsystem to launch interactive exhibition at Rough Trade NYC
LCD Soundsystem’s now-legendary final show will be the subject of a new “interactive gallery exhibition” in New York.
The exhibition, which will showcase exclusive video clips, rare photos and early pressings of the band’s albums, will run from 7 April to 7 May at the recently-opened Rough Trade NYC.
“Hosting this retrospective experience is an incredibly synergistic and humbling moment for us, one we’re incredibly excited to share,” said Rough Trade co-owner Stephen Godfroy of the project.
James Murphy and co’s last-ever gig took place at Madison Square Garden in April 2011, with full remastered audio from the show released as a vinyl boxset for Record Store Day on 19 April.
