Laura Mvula covers The Delfonics for new Christmas advert
The new single from Mercury-nominated soul/pop artist Laura Mvula is soundtracking the new House Of Fraser advert.
"Ready Or Not" is the antithesis of the usual 'Insipid-Ballad-For-A-Department-Store' Christmas campaign. It's rammed with energy and shuffly beats - click play on this one and watch your office bash lift off. It's got a festive slant, but it's a banger in its own right.
Mvula's new single is a cover of The Delfonics' iconic track of the same(ish) name.
"I'm so excited to be involved in the House of Fraser Christmas campaign and to have had a chance to record Ready Or Not," says Mvula. "The Delfonics and The Fugees made 'Ready Or Not' such an iconic song so to take it on and add a Christmas vibe was daunting but great fun. I'm still in shock..."
