Kylie Minogue confirms Glastonbury legends slot for next year
Kylie Minogue has been confirmed to play next year's Glastonbury legends slot, 14 years after she was forced to pull out of her headline set.
Back in 2005 Kylie Minogue was scheduled to headline the Worthy Farm extravaganza, but was forced to take a step back after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
14 years on, and Minogue is back, this time to play Glastonbury's legends slot, which has seen the likes of Dolly Parton, Barry Gibb, Tom Jones, Lionel Richie, Neil Diamond, and more.
Taking to Twitter, Minogue expressed her delight to return to Worthy Farm, "It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show."
I’m so thrilled to announce that I’ll be playing the ‘Legend slot’ on Sunday 30th June at @GlastoFest 2019. It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there and so much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show. pic.twitter.com/wHAiBs54Cx

Minogue last made an appearance at Glastonbury in 2010, but only for a short cameo in Scissor Sisters' set.
The only other act confirmed to Glastonbury 2019 so far is Stormzy, who will headline the Friday night. Minogue will perform on Sunday 30 June.
Although Worthy Farm took 2018 off to recharge from hosting nearly 200,000 people, 2017 saw the Foo Fighters, Radiohead and Ed Sheeran headline the Pyramid Stage.
