Kwabs announces debut album Love + War and streams "Perfect Ruin" video
Neo-soul singer-songwriter Kwabs has detailed his much-anticipated debut LP Love + War, and is sharing the video for new single "Perfect Ruin".
The BBC Sound Of 2015 longlister's new clip was filmed in the Swedish Lapland town of Luleå and directed by George Bellfield, and sees Kwabs wander the snow-lined streets into the Scandinavian hinterland with desperate fervour. It's an emotive accompaniment to what looks to be one of Kwabs most heart-wrenching tracks.
Speaking about the record and his new single, Kwabs said:
"I am so excited about finally announcing the details of my debut album. It feels good to release some new music after an amazing 2014. The response in the UK and now internationally has been incredible. (love to my German fans for making "Walk" a Number 1 record!) "Perfect Ruin" is one of my favourite tracks on the album and of everything it's probably the song fans have most wanted to hear finished. So I think it's been a long time coming... I hope they feel it as much as I do."
Love + War will be released 18 May via Atlantic Records.
