Kurt Vile to host own parade in Philadelphia this weekend
Having already drafted in his own daughter for a cameo in a homemade TV advert for his new album, Kurt Vile has got his promotional thinking cap on again and announced that he’s to throw a parade in his hometown of Philadelphia this weekend.
The parade, which will star comedian Tom Scharpling and probably many fans as well as bemused onlookers, will take place on Saturday (30 March) at a secret location in the city.
The news came via his label Matador’s official website, with a post which simply read:
“If you are in Philadelphia this Saturday and would like to join the parade, email kurtvileparade@gmail.com for time and location.”
Vile’s new album, Wakin on a Pretty Daze comes out 8 April (Europe) / 9 April (North America).
