Kraftwerk working on first new album in 10 years
Following his band’s career-spanning series of shows at London’s Tate museum earlier this year, Kraftwerk’s Ralf Hütter has revealed in interview that the band are ready to start work on their next record.
The German electronic pioneers experienced an eight day stay residency at the Tate during February, each show seeing the band play a different album from their back-catalogue in it entirety. Now, however, they’re ready to move on.
“Now this is done, one to eight,” Hütter told The Guardian. “Now we can concentrate on number nine.” The potential new record would be the group’s first since 2003′s Tour de France Soundtracks.
