Kevin Drew hints at future plans for Broken Social Scene
Broken Social Scene founding member Kevin Drew released his new solo album Darlings earlier this month, his first since the hiatus of the Toronto band. Now, however, he’s suggested there still might be more to come from the group.
“We made it work as a business for 10 years,” Drew told Best Fit’s Andy Price. “With everyone’s schedules… we just hit a ceiling where everyone just needed to be reminded what a great and wonderful thing we had in our lives.”
The band have not been totally inactive since 2011, however, playing festival shows in Canada and re-recording their first ever song recently. Better yet, there may even be new material in the works it seems.
“I can see Broken Social Scene recording again,” Drew concluded in our upcoming interview going live next month.
