Kero Kero Bonito to release remix EP called Bonito Recycling
Slipping into the same faraway land as the brash twee-pop of PC Music, complete with '90s fixations, eurodance cheese and sickly lyrics, London's Kero Kero Bonito are making a glittery explosion with their noise lately.
The Anglo-Japanese threesome have enlisted a few mates and associates to dissect and reform their "hyperreal ultrapop". It's still got that cheek-pinching cuteness of oversatured J-pop, but each sonic scientist has injected their own personality into the fray.
Listen to the scattershot "Sick Beat", remixed by Danny L Harle, a frequent face in the PC Music cadre, and then check out the tracklist below.
Tracklist:
1. Sick Beat (Danny L Harle remix)
2. My Party (bo en remix)
3. I'd Rather Sleep (et aliae remix)
4. Cat Vs. Dog (Kane West remix)
5. Pocket Crocodile (Toby Gale Pixel Pounce remix)
6. Small Town (Spazzkid remix)
The Bonito Recycling remix EP is out 29 September on Double Denim.
