Kendal Calling announces biggest line-up ever as it celebrates its 10th birthday
Kendal Calling has announced its biggest lineup yet as it celebrates its 10th birthday by expanding to a four day event.
The headliners for this years event, which takes place between 30 July- 2 August, have been revealed as: Elbow, Snoop Dogg, Kaiser Chiefs, The Vaccines and James.
Other highlights include The Horrors, Billy Bragg and Embrace; whilst Public Service Broadcasting will headline the Calling Out stage. Local heroes, British Sea Power, who performed at the inaugral Kendal Calling, will also return; this time headling the Woodlands stage.
Many more acts are still to be announced.
Kendal Calling founder, Andy Smith, said:
"Since its humble beginnings as an teensy-eensy one and a half stage festival held in the grounds of a town centre art gallery back in 2006 to its current home spread across the stunning 300 acre Lowther Deer Park, home to our 12 stages (and more to come), it’s been an incredible journey. I think it’s fair to say this year’s line-up is going to take some beating though with an expanded festival seeing 5 headliners over 4 days and an eclectic spread across all stages, but the real beauty is in the atmosphere of the audience and that's what it's really about at Kendal."
As well as the fantastic music on offer, the festival boasts arts installations, gourmet food, kid's entertainment and a real ale festival; all set in the stunning surrounds of the Lake District.
Full weekend tickets are available now for £130, or through a deposit scheme.
