Katy Perry to debut new material at MTV VMA awards

Late last night, Katy Perry announced that she will release her upcoming fourth album later this year. Now, it’s being speculated that she’ll premiere some music from that LP at next month’s MTV VMA awards.
Perry’s new effort, Prism will drop on 22 October – with the album announcement made on the side of gold-clad truck.
The Guardian are now noting that Perry is “expected to debut new material” at next month’s MTV ceremony, which takes place on 25 August.
