Karl Blau cuts a divine collection of country-soul standards for End of the Road secret set
Currently on a tour of the U.K. promoting 'Introducing' - one of the great word-of-mouth successes of 2016 - Karl Blau treated an intimate audience to a secret show this afternoon amongst the woods at End of the Road Festival ahead of his full band set on the Tipi stage this evening.
Flanked in vintage Western attire and straw hat, Blau - in typical laid back form - performed "That's How I Got To Memphis" by Tom T Hall, a heartbreaking take on Link Wray's "Fallin Rain", the Townes Van Zandt classic "If I Needed You" and finally urged the audience into a sing-a-long of Don Gibson's "Woman (Sensuous Woman)" from the aforementioned album - a divine collection of Country Soul standards from the late 60s and early 70s.
Karl Blau and band continue their tour next week including a sold out show at The Lexington, London (presented by Best Fit).
