Kanye West sued for ″Bound 2″ sample use
“Bound 2″ - the recent single and closing track from Kanye West’s Yeezus - has swiftly become the most high-profile song from the rapper’s supposedly radio-unfriendly album thanks to its meme-generating video. Now, it has put West in the headlines again following a new lawsuit.
The song samples and borrows from “Bound” by the Ponderosa Twins Plus One, whose singer Ricky Spicer is now seeking compensation for apparent unauthorised use.
Spicer, who was 12 years old at the time of the original recording in 1971, has also reportedly sent a cease and desist order to West regarding the track.
