Kanye West is reportedly opening a new prep school called Donda Academy
According to reports, Kanye West is set to open a new prep school outside of LA called Donda Academy.
Earlier this week it was reported that Kanye West filed a trademark application for Donda, apparently for a new line of tech products including tablets, speakers, smartwatches and more, and now it's been reported that he's planning to open a new school outside of LA called Donda Academy.
According to CBS Sports, Donda Academy will be located in Simi Valley, California, and hopes to have a basketball programme that will rival the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers team.
While there's no coach for Donda Academy yet, the school has secured a partnership with Adidas (who Kanye West already works with on his Yeezy brand) and has five high-rated players lined up - Jalen Hooks, Robert Dillingham, and Jakhi Howard.
Hooks reportedly told the Indianapolis Star, "It's just one of those things you can't pass up. It was more of a family decision, too. All of us just felt like it was a chance to reach my full potential and grow and get ready for the college level."
