Kanye West compares invasion of privacy by paparazzi to civil rights movement, orders Chinese food from prison
The Kanye West news reel never really ends, and now TMZ have uncovered the transcript of West’s legal deposition relating to his paparazzo assault case last year.
Of course it’s pretty hilarious, with West comparing the plight of the celebrity to the civil rights movement in the 1960s. It’s also good to see that Kanye doesn’t tone himself down at all, be it Jimmy Kimmel that he’s talking to, Zane Lowe or judges and lawyers.
Here are some highlights:
“I’m in the business of trying to make dope shit for the world. You’re in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there’s this lapse in the law.”
“I’m the smartest fucking celebrity you’ve ever dealt with. I’m not Britney Spears.”
“You have to ask for a hall pass. You can’t just say the ‘n’ word around me. It offends me because you’re a white person saying ‘n***a.’”
“We, as group of minorities here in L.A., as celebrities have to ban together to influence guys like this – guys trying to take the picture, guys trying to get the big win, guys trying to get the check.”
“Is your daughter stalked by like drones? Are there drones flying where she’s trying to learn how to swim at age 1? ... Wouldn’t you like to just teach your daughter how to swim without a drone flying? What happens if a drone falls right next to her? Would it electrocute her? ... Could it fall and hit her if that paparazzi doesn’t understand how to remote control the drone over their house?”
Meanwhile in a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim revealed that when Kanye was jailed in 2008 for attacking (another) paparazzo, he used his one phone call to order chinese food from high-end restaurant Mr Chows. Of course…
