Justin Timberlake resolves dispute with Kanye West following 'Suit & Tie' diss
Pop comeback king, Justin Timberlake and Yeezus Christ superstar Kanye West have apparently cleared the air following an embittered exchange of words earlier this year.
The clash between the singers started when West made a comment onstage about Timberlake’s track ‘Suit & Tie’, saying “I got love for Hov , but I ain’t fucking with that ‘Suit & Tie’”.
Timberlake then altered the lyrics to his Saturday Night Live performance from “Shit so sick got a hit and picked up a habit” to “My hits so sick got rappers acting dramatic.”
JT spoke to MTV News recently, saying:
“I respect his opinion because I think he’s a genius. But I don’t share that opinion. It’s just not that big a deal. To do it at Saturday Night Live too is like…it’s not that big of deal. I told , ‘I fuck with you, in a way that you probably don’t even understand. I get what you do.’ We’ve never worked together, so I don’t think that he fully understands what it is that I can do.”
Timberlake mentioned he’d love to join forces musically with the rapper, to which Kanye replied: “Well, the best way I know how to do that is for us to just sit down and play music.”
