Julio Bashmore starts own record label, unveils new track
There seems to be something in the bottled water they’re giving electronic music’s best and brightest producers during their live sets at the moment, with recent times seeing a huge growth in musicians setting up their own labels. Of course there was Flying Lotus quite a while back, but both Gold Panda and patten have also announced their plans to put out vinyl in the last few months.
Next in line to follow suit is Bristol dub man Julio Bashmore, who has unveiled his new imprint Broadwalk Records. On the new business venture, he had the following to say:
“Fast cars, money, but no record label to truly call my own? This ends today… “Hi, I’m Julio Bashmore. “Somehow I have found time between jet-setting around the globe, becoming a voice for the people via my Radio One show and generally living the high life to bring you a brand new label, Broadwalk Records. Today heralds a new era in the Julio Bashmore chronicles, with a sound that shall echo through the ages…”
To celebrate, he’s also released a brand new track. ‘Au Seve’ is set to come out on Julio’s new label come 2 July. You can listen below:
