Julianna Barwick streams track 'One Half' from new album

Ambient soundscaper, Julianna Barwick has revealed the first track lifted from her follow-up to her 2011 debut The Magic Place.
Her second studio effort, to be released via her new home of Dead Oceans, Nepenthe has been given a 12 August due date in the UK (20 August in North America). It was recorded in Iceland with Alex Somers, of Jónsi & Alex, Múm and a “teenage female choir”. It follows on from Barwick’s recent collaborations Helado Negro and Ikue Mori.
You can take a listen to one of the cuts, ‘One Half’, beneath. Barwick plays London’s St Giles Church on 29 August.
