Julianna Barwick announces new album for August

Ambient soundscaper, Julianna Barwick has unveiled details of the follow-up to her 2011 debut The Magic Place.
Her second studio effort, to be released on her new home at Dead Oceans, Nepenthe has been given an August due date. It was recorded in Iceland with Alex Somers, of Jónsi & Alex, Múm and a “teenage female choir”.
It follows on from Barwick’s recent collborations Helado Negro and Ikue Mori.
