This year has already seen both Sigur Ros and Bjork appear in The Simpsons and now Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford is the next unlikely musician to join that list.
The British-born heavy metal singer is to make a cameo in the much-loved U.S cartoon, starring in an episode alongside American comedians Judd Apatow, Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen.
Halford will perform a rendition of Priest track ‘Breaking the Law’ after Homer gets into trouble for illegally downloading movies.
The likes of Sonic Youth, Smashing Pumpkins and more have appeared in The Simpsons since its initial creation.
