Josh Homme to sit in for Jarvis Cocker on his BBC Radio 6 Music show
Jarvis Cocker’s dulcet-toned Sunday Service show on BBC Radio 6 Music is always one of the week’s highlights and even when he’s unable to host the show, he always makes sure it’s worth tuning in for. Such is the case this weekend, with Queens of The Stone Age man Josh Homme filling in for the Pulp frontman.
We’ve already seen the likes of Radiohead, John Cooper Clarke and Alison Mosshart covering Jarvis and now Homme will be added to this increasingly illustrious list.
The show will take place this coming Sunday (4 August) with the QOTSA singer sitting in from 4pm-6pm.
The press release of the news reads:
“The Queens of The Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal frontman sits in for Jarvis Cocker on the Sunday Service. Josh rifles through his record collection to soundtrack listeners’ Sunday afternoons with a definite nod towards the dark-side and the downright dirty!”
It’s also been announced that Cocker, currently on summer leave, has picked Sir Bob Geldof to fill in for him on the 11 August show.
