Jordan Rakei launches Patreon account with Jeff Buckley and Radiohead covers
Jordan Rakei has launched his own Patreon account with a couple of Jeff Buckley and Radiohead covers.
Yesterday (2 November), singer/songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist Jordan Rakei shared a three-minute video announcing the launch of his Patreon account.
In the video, Rakei says, "I think it's only right and only fair that I share what I've learned from my successes and failures, which is why I've created a Patreon account."
He continues, "To ensure there's something for everybody, from fans to upcoming producers and musicians, I've created four different tiers you can sign up to with a monthly subscription fee."
The first tier (£5 a month) gives fans access to members only pre-sale tickets for live shows, and access to Patreon-exclusive livestreams. At this tier fans can also access the instrumentals from Rakei's Cloak album, 10% off Rakei's merch, and more.
For £12 a month fans will be able to view tutorials from Rakei on production, songwriting and remixing, as well as being able to ask Rakei questions directly, and an extra 5% discount off his merch.
The Super Creator subscription (£30 a month) will provide one masterclass each month and will see Rakei discuss self-management, label pitches and more. Sometimes he'll be joined by friends from the music industry.
The top tier, Mentee, has already sold out, but for £70 a month Rakei will provide feedback and advice on tracks once a month, as well as all the benefits from the other tiers.
This afternoon (3 November), Rakei shared a snippet of his version of Jeff Buckley's "Lover, You Should've Come Over" on Twitter, writing, "Can't believe the response to my Patreon so far! Sign up to check out my full cover of "Lover, You Should've Come Over" / "Codex" by Jeff Buckley and Radiohead..."
