Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr has unveiled the first track from his upcoming new album release.
The musician’s solo debut The Messenger only came out last year, but now Marr will follow it up with Playland on 7 October.
“When The Messenger came out I kept on writing,” Marr says of the LP. “I liked that the band had a momentum going on tour and a connection with the audience, and I thought that energy would be good to capture on the new record.”
