Johnny Marr blames 'record label politics' for stopping The Smiths boxset
Former Smiths guitarist, Johnny Marr has revealed that it has been ‘record label politics’ keeping him from releasing a boxset of rarities and instrumentals from the days of his former band.
In an interview with the NME, he was quoted saying: “I think that stuff should come out properly but there were politics that stopped me so I just gave up trying.”
Other news this week sees Marr announce a UK tour spreading across the month of October, playing in cities like Newcastle, Leeds and London with a home return to Manchester in between.
