Johnny Cash gets his own U.S postage stamp, Museum opens in Nashville
Nashville had a big ol’ nostalgic Johnny Cash love-in over the weekend, with a museum opening in honour of the country singer.
The ‘Johnny Cash Museum’ was opened in the city, near renowned music venue the Ryman Auditorium. The opening saw many country greats perform, including family member John Carter Cash, who sang ‘Folsom Prison Blues’.
Cash was also remembered in his own stamp issued by the U.S postal service. “Dad was no stranger to licking a stamp,” said Kathy Cash, the singer’s daughter. “And we have the letters to prove it. Mom and Dad had a four year courtship when he was stationed in Germany, and they wrote ten thousand letters to each other.”
