Having already cut his muso-chops in 2000′s film adaptation of High Fidelity, John Cusack looks set to woo every music fan the world over once again – by playing Beach Boys founding member Brian Wilson in an upcoming biopic.
Cusack is currently in discussion with those behind Love and Mercy to play the singer as he struggles with well-documented mental illness. Paul Dano has already signed up to portray Wilson’s younger self.
The movie will be directed by Bill Pohlad, from a script by Owen Moverman and with Atticus Ross scoring the flick.
