Avant-garde composer and experimental rock veteran John Cale has announced a new EP scheduled for a 19 September release on Double Six Records.
Cale, best known for his 1973 masterpiece Paris, 1919, recently signed to the Domino Records imprint and is marking his arrival with the five-track EP entitled Extra Playful, available for pre-order here.
The tracklist appears as follows:
1. Catastrofuk
2. Whaddya Mean By That?
3. Hey Ray
4. Pile A L’Heure
5. Perfection
Second track ‘Whaddya Mean By That?’ can be previewed below and shows Wales’ favourite crazy-haired and wildly-dressed maverick (apologies to Nicky Wire) close to his emphatic best.
You can catch the former member of The Velvet Underground live at London’s Field Day festival on 6 August.
