jj back with new material, sample The xx
“Fuck all you hoes, get a grip” – and so Elin Kastlander opens the new jj track ‘Let Them’, her ice cold croon marking the return of the elusive (yet no less prolific) Swedish wunderkinds. A re-imagining of T.I’s ‘Let ‘Em Talk’, early repeated listenings rank this as the finest moment of the duo’s short career. “jj kills on its fucking way baby! did you get that?”
Backing up ‘Let Them’ is The xx sampling ‘I’m The One / Money On My Mind’ which originally saw the light of day on ’5 Minuter Med jj’ – a short mix that was broadcast on Swedish radio last December.
Both tracks come courtesy of the consistently awe inspiring Sincerely Yours.
