Jim-E Stack and Lower Dens' Jana Hunter air their cover of Björk's "Hyperballad"
San Francisco producer Jim-E Stack and Jana Hunter of Lower Dens have covered "Hyperballad" by Icelandic legend Björk.
The original version of "Hyperballad" was released over 20 years ago on Björk's '95 LP Post, and remains one of her most beloved tracks.
Stack has shared the cover along with an interesting press release/PDF featuring images from Stack himself. In it, he writes:
"I had been listening to 'Hyperballad' by Björk daily when I made my own instrumental version. I was angry at how the relationship I was in had ended. A friend connected me with Jana Hunter of Lower Dens whose album was my favorite of the year. Jana recorded her vocal in a hotel room in Switzerland while on tour in November of 2015. I finished the song in early 2016."
Last year saw the release of Lower Dens' latest record Escape From Evil.
