Jeff Bridges releases ambient spoken word album Sleeping Tapes
Jeff Bridges, AKA the Oscar-winning actor behind roles in The Big Lebowski, Tron and True Grit, is releasing an ambient spoken word record intended to help you sleep.
Bridges hasn't composed the music - that was done by Keefus Ciancia (True Detective, Nashville) - but he did write the lyrics/poem/words. It's... terrifying. If you can sleep after listening to "SLEEP.DREAM.WAKEUP." you probably sleep during the day in a coffin.
An accompanying blurb reads: "the world is filled with too many restless people in need of rest – that's why I filled my sleeping tapes with intriguing sounds, noises and other things to help you get a good night's rest. - Jeff"
As FACT note, this isn't his first foray into music - he's released albums with band The Abiders, and for Crazy Heart's OST.
If you fancy getting your hands on it, you can donate to No Kid Hungry and get a digital download. If you need a more corporeal version, you can get it on cassette, CD or vinyl (or golden vinyl), with all proceeds also going to No Kid Hungry.
