Are Jay Z and Kanye West over? The inseparable pair have described themselves as "brothers" in the past, but their friendship could be on the rocks.
Following a recent on-stage rant from Kanye, rumours swirled that Jay was less than fond of the "Famous" rapper: "Jay can’t stand him..." an unnamed source told Page Six. "...he looks at him as this crazy, eccentric motherfucker he can tolerate in small doses.”
Now Karreem ‘Biggs’ Burke, one of the co-founders of Jay's Roc-A-Fella Records, has told Page Six that Kanye's latest moves came as a surprise.
“I was shocked to hear what Kanye said onstage. There was never anything rumbling,” he says. “When you hear these things in public, it’s a little shocking... the last I saw [Kanye], he spoke really highly of Jay. I’m not sure about the relationship at this point. I spoke to Jay [after Kanye’s rant] and we’re both just like, ‘We miss the old Kanye.'”
