On the back of his 13th U.S number one album, could Jay-Z be making a Prince turn? Well, hardly. But he has removed the long-annoying hyphen from his name.
Yes, the artist formerly known as Jay-Z has now become, well, Jay Z. As Billboard note, Hov’s label have informed journalists that they no longer have to include the ‘-’.
Jay’s own website Life + Times were the first to make the changes, with iTunes now listing the rapper as Jay Z too. It’s hardly Puff Daddy becoming P Diddy (now Diddy), but still, good for all editors out there to know.
