Japanese Breakfast announces new record Soft Sounds From Another Planet
Japanese Breakfast has detailed new LP Soft Sounds From Another Planet and shared the visuals for new single "Machinist".
The record is the follow up to 2016's stunning Psychopomp and is described as "a work of self-reflection that looks out at the cosmos in search of healing, finding inspiration in science fiction, outer space, and the Mars One Project."
Oregon's Michelle Zauner collaborates with House Of Nod's Adam Kolodny on the visuals for lead single "Machinist", assuming directorial responsibilities.
"The song is a sci-fi narrative about a woman who falls in love with a robot," explains Zauner. "In the video she hallucinates on rocket fuel and tears apart her spaceship in an attempt to build a body for her robot lover."
