Japandroids, Kathleen Edwards among ECHO Songwriting Prize nominations

Japandroids and Kathleen Edwards are among the artists nominated for this year’s ECHO Songwriting Prize.
Brian King and David Prowse are nominated for their song ‘The House That Heaven Built’, while Kathleen Edwards is honoured for her ‘A Soft Place To Land’.
Also listed are Dan Mangan, John K Samron and Sloan.
The SOCAN ECHO Prize rewards the best in new Canadian independent music, with the winning song announced on 19 October.
