Janelle Monáe, Wilco, Mitski, and more auctioning off setlists for charity
A wide range of artist setlists are being auctioned off for charity, including Janelle Monáe, Wilco, Mitski, and many more.
Proceeds made from the auction will be distributed to youth writing and activism organisations, including London-based Ministry of Stories.
The auction will be hosted by Setlists For Young Voices, a new initiative created by writers Nick Hornby, Dave Eggers and Michael Chabon.
Eggers says of the auction, "We’re hoping to raise about $50,000. That will have a powerful impact on more than 150 student writers at the Ministry of Stories and writing centers worldwide."
Other artists who have contributed setlists include Patti Smith, R.E.M., A$AP Rocky, The Who, Rush, Sigur Rós, Toro Y Moi, The Pretenders, Nine Inch Nails, Beirut, Death Cab For Cutie, Potty Mouth, Bob Mould, MNEK, Better Oblivion Community Center, and many others.
One of the most popular setlists is R.E.M.'s signed 30 May 1989 setlist from Wembley Arena, which is currently at $325.
