James Newman reselected to represent UK at Eurovision Song Contest 2021
James Newman, the brother of John Newman, has been reselected to represent the United Kingdom at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Newman was originally supposed to represent the UK at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest with "My Last Breath", but in March last year the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 65th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Rotterdam, The Netherlands in May after last year's Contest in Rotterdam was called off.
Newman's song to represent the UK will be revealed next month.
He says of being reselcted for this year's Eurovision, "I’m so excited and honoured to be getting a second chance at representing my country in the Eurovision Song Contest. I haven’t stopped making new music in lockdown and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the song I’m taking to Eurovision in 2021."
In October last year Daði Freyr was reselected to represent Iceland at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
